Vitamin C in very large doses may cause gastrointestinal hurry, flatulence and loose bowels. Most adults can tolerate up to 4 grams per day without problems. The low acidity of C-Plus Tablets will allow most adults to tolerate up to 10 grams per day. Increasing fluid intake or reducing the dose of vitamin C can reduce gastrointestinal disturbances.
Vitamin C generally reduces the toxic effects and side effects of most medically prescribed drugs. It does this without interfering with the drugs pharmacological activity.
* Reduce fat in the diet
* Avoid drugs, tobacco and alcohol
* Increase aerobic activity for better effect
* Maintain high fluid intakes, for example, 20 grams of Vitamin C per day should be accompanied by an intake of at least 4 litres of water or diluted juice.
* Do not cease high doses of vitamin C suddenly, but wean down over a two-week period.
